Profile

Chartered accountants providing bookkeeping, payroll, tax and accountancy services to local businesses.

New business ?

It is very daunting starting up a new business. This is particularly true for understanding how to financially manage the new business and your personal affairs as well as all the rules and regulations about various taxes. Here at Philip Nickson and Co we understand these issues and are proactive in advising you. Best of it is we tailor or services to suit you for the here and now but also do our best to anticipate issues that could come up in future.

Not enough hours in the day ?

Many businesses struggle to cope with the myriad of bureaucratic issues that prevent them from getting on with "the business". In many cases it is far more efficient and cheaper to get your accountant to handle much of the bookkeeping, payroll, VAT etc than to do it in-house. Call us and ask.

Lack of control over accountancy fees ?

We discuss and agree the services you require and, just as importantly, agree the fee in advance. What's more, whilst you are a client, there is no additional charge for reasonable ad hoc telephone or email help.

How can an accountant help my business ?

There are not many businesses that would not benefit from the services of an accountant. This is nothing to do with accountants being wonderfully cuddly creatures but more to do with the complexity of the business world. The trick is finding the right accountant for you. One that will help you with your business rather than a "bean counter". Talk to us, there is no obligation, and find out what we can do for your business.

Not satisfied with your existing accountant ?

Sadly it sometimes happens that businesses are dissatisfied with their existing accountants. This can happen for a variety of reasons. Changing accountants is invariably very straightforward. However, before you "jump ship" talk to us and we can work out what has gone wrong and whether it is worth trying to fix the current situation or change to a new accountant. We are always happy to accept new business but want to ensure it is for the right reasons.
