Best Drama School in Gloucestershire
Imagine Theatre was set up after it's artistic director had been teaching drama for ten years at one of the larger UK franchises. He found that his classes contained a lot of very talented teenagers who wanted to be professional actors but who were only able to access acting classes via musical theatre. He decided that there was a gap in the market and launched Imagine in early September 2014.
Since that time the classes have grown, Imagine has introduced innovative theatre and fun workshops to local young people across the Cotswold region. A junior class was opened in 2016 for children aged 11-14 to ensure a steady flow of local talent over the next few years. Since it's inception Imagine has staged numerous innovative productions, helped young performers get into the National Youth Theatre, get auditions with the BBC and supports a group of it's alumni who live and work in London.
Our teaching style at Imagine is child focussed, creative and fun. We believe in developing individuals and empowering them to become young professionals and our classes are therefore more of a voyage of discovery for individuals rather than a 'we know everything and you know nothing' approach that many education establishments employ. Imagine actively work with both parents and students to help create career plans that will last well into their twenties and thirties.
Imagine is not just a school, we are a family of creatives. Our staff are committed to the development of our students into professional actors, writers, directors and theatre makers. We expect our students to work hard, to work together and to begin forging their professionalism from a young age.

The best option....
This school has to be the best option for young aspiring creatives in the Cotswolds. I have been to a number of different drama schools since age 11 but my 3 years at Imagine Theatre have been the best. With a drive for professionalism, the teachers at this school; James and Emily, have a multitude of different abilities, ensuring that students are taught a wide range of techniques.
Any young person who wants drama training, without the singing, dancing, and jazz hands should definitely be going to Imagine Theatre, there's no other place like it!!
Best training I've ever had...
I studied at Imagine Theatre for a year between the ages of 17-18 and it's the best training I've ever had. James and Emily who run the school are both incredible teachers with a huge breadth of knowledge and have continued to guide me through the creative industry even after I left. Imagine teaches a variety of acting techniques and instils professionalism in all their students, and the end of term performances are always original and fun for audience and performers. I would 100% recommend Imagine to any young person interested in a career in acting, or simply looking for an opportunity to improve their confidence and communication skills. Imagine is a great creative family and you'll make friends for life!

I've been to a few local drama schools over the years and Imagine is by FAR the best! It's helped me so much, not just with acting, but my career now I've left. I am a professional creative living in London and I continue to pursue acting! Imagine taught me everything I know! Incredible! I couldn't recommend it more! Other drama schools in the area are bland and boring... Imagine couldn't be more different
A joy to see...
It has been a joy to see all of the children become confidant performers over the time my daughter has been attending. I would recommend these classes to anyone who wants to develop their theatre skills.
